Description of the project:
Estonian Grand Prix 2018 / Nordic Championship will take place on June 28, 2018-July 1, 2018 in Pärnu County, on the auto24 circuit. The program has endorsed the following car racing classes: BMW Extreme, Legends, Porsche GT Cup Challenge, V8 Thunder, GT Open. In addition to motor-car racing, in co-operation with the drivers of the Estonian Motorcycle Federation, two Superstock 600 and Superbike motorcycle programs have been added.
Objectives and expected results:
The objectives of the project are to prepare and conduct the Northern European Championship in the motorcycle racing of cars in Pärnu County. Arrange at the best level the FIA calendar competition for both cars and motorcycles, and introduce Estonia and our car sporting traditions internationally to competitors, spectators and TV audience. The result of the project is a high-level, competition with many visitors, which has introduced Estonia as a high-level organizing country and our motorsport traditions internationally for competitors, spectators and TV audience. The organized major international competition has had a positive impact on both the economic development of Pärnumaa and to the economic development of Estonia, including tourism.
